Transparency Policy
Last Updated: February 5, 2024
Bornapeskt ("we," "us," or "our") operates the platform available at bornapeskt.biz. This Transparency Policy explains how we conduct our operations, what information we collect and why, how we make decisions that affect our users, and how we hold ourselves accountable. We believe that honest, open communication builds the trust that makes learning possible.
1. Our Commitment to Transparency
We are committed to operating openly and honestly in all aspects of our business. This means clearly communicating our practices, acknowledging limitations, disclosing changes in advance where possible, and providing users with meaningful access to information about how our platform works.
Transparency is not a single policy — it is a practice applied across data handling, content decisions, pricing, partnerships, and service changes. This document consolidates those commitments in one place.
2. Information We Collect and Why
2.1 Account and Registration Data
When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, and chosen password. This information is used solely to authenticate your identity, personalize your learning experience, and communicate with you about your account and course activity.
2.2 Usage and Learning Data
We collect data about how you interact with course content, including lesson completion status, assessment results, time spent on materials, and navigation patterns. This data is used to:
- Track and display your personal progress
- Generate completion certificates where applicable
- Improve course structure and content quality
- Identify technical issues affecting learner experience
2.3 Technical and Device Data
We automatically collect certain technical information when you access our platform, including IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers. This data is used for security monitoring, service diagnostics, and aggregate analytics. It is not used to build individual behavioral profiles for commercial purposes.
2.4 Payment Data
Payment transactions are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment card details on our systems. We retain transaction records including amount, date, and a masked reference for billing support and financial record-keeping purposes.
2.5 Communications Data
If you contact us by email or through our support channels, we retain a record of that correspondence to resolve your inquiry, improve our support quality, and maintain an accurate history of your account interactions.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information only for purposes directly related to delivering, improving, and supporting our educational services. Specifically, we do not:
- Sell personal data to third parties
- Use your learning activity to serve third-party advertising
- Share your personal data with partners for their independent marketing purposes
- Make automated decisions that carry legal or significant personal consequences without human review
We may use aggregated, anonymised data to understand platform-wide trends and publish general statistics about learner outcomes. Such data cannot be used to identify any individual.
4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
4.1 Service Providers
We engage third-party service providers to support platform operations. These may include hosting infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics services. All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements that restrict their use of your data to the specific service they provide on our behalf.
4.2 Disclosure to Authorities
We may disclose information to law enforcement or regulatory bodies where we are legally required to do so. Where permitted by law, we will notify affected users of such requests. We do not voluntarily provide data beyond what is legally required.
4.3 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users by email and through a prominent notice on our platform before any such transfer takes place, and we will ensure the receiving party assumes equivalent data protection obligations.
5. Content and Curriculum Decisions
Course content, curriculum structure, and learning materials are developed and reviewed by our internal team. We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable coverage of any financial product, tool, institution, or methodology within our course content. Any reference to specific software, platforms, or services within our materials is made solely on educational merit.
Where course content is updated, deprecated, or restructured, enrolled learners will be informed of material changes before they take effect. Minor corrections and improvements are made without individual notification but are recorded in a course changelog accessible to enrolled users.
6. Pricing and Billing Transparency
All prices are displayed clearly prior to purchase, including any applicable taxes where they can be calculated. We do not use hidden fees. If pricing changes after your purchase, the price you paid at the time of purchase applies to your current access period. Renewal pricing, where applicable, is communicated in advance.
Refund eligibility, conditions, and timelines are documented in our Refund Policy. We will not contest a refund request made in good faith within the stated eligibility window.
7. Service Changes and Downtime
We aim to provide a stable, reliable platform. When planned maintenance or service changes may affect access, we will provide advance notice through email or in-platform notification where reasonably possible. For unplanned outages, we communicate status updates as promptly as possible.
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or replace features of the platform. When changes materially affect the learning experience of enrolled users, we will provide at minimum 30 days advance notice and, where appropriate, an alternative or equivalent offering.
8. Security Practices
We apply industry-standard security measures to protect user data, including encrypted data transmission, access controls, and regular security reviews. In the event of a data breach that may affect user information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities within the timeframes required by applicable law, and in any case without undue delay.
We do not guarantee absolute security, as no system can be made completely immune to all threats. We do commit to acting promptly, honestly, and transparently if a security incident occurs.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain user sessions, remember preferences, and collect aggregate usage statistics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. A full list of cookies used on our platform, their purpose, and their retention period is available in our Cookie Policy.
Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we will request it prior to setting those cookies and provide a clear mechanism to withdraw consent at any time.
10. Your Rights and Controls
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate information, and request deletion of your data where we have no overriding legal obligation to retain it. You may also request a portable copy of your data or object to specific processing activities.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at:

Phone: +1 604 662 8820
We will respond to all rights requests within a reasonable timeframe and without charge unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
11. Accountability
This policy is reviewed at least annually. When material updates are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and notify users by email if the changes affect their rights or the way we handle their data.
If you believe we have not acted in accordance with this policy, you are encouraged to contact us directly so we can address your concern. We treat all such concerns seriously and will respond with a clear explanation of our position and any corrective action taken.
